Equality Objectives

Queen’s Croft High School sets Equality Objectives in line with the Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED). Our objectives support our commitment to promoting equality of opportunity, eliminating discrimination, and fostering good relations across our school community.

Current Equality Objectives (2024–2028)

Our current Equality Objectives cover the four-year period 2024–2028 and are reviewed annually by senior leaders and governors.

Our objectives focus on:

  • Monitoring pupil progress, attendance, behaviour, and participation to identify and remove barriers for vulnerable groups

  • Improving access to learning, enrichment opportunities, and pupil voice for pupils with complex communication and additional needs

  • Promoting inclusive recruitment, staff development, and equitable employment practices

Progress against these objectives is:

  • Reviewed termly by the Senior Leadership Team

  • Reported annually to Governors

  • Updated and republished on the school website

  • Fully reviewed at least every four years

Accessibility Planning

Our Equality Objectives are supported by an approved Accessibility Plan, which outlines how we:

  • Increase access to the curriculum for pupils with disabilities

  • Improve the physical environment of the school

  • Enhance the accessibility of information and communication

The Accessibility Plan is reviewed regularly and approved by Governors.
